Care is provided by a licensed physician on the phone or through video chat, and allows employees and their families to quickly and easily seek professional care or obtain a prescription while accommodating their busy schedules. Telehealth plans are also a cost effective alternative to visiting a physician’s office for the employee while reducing the claim costs for companies. All clinical information is shared with the members’ primary care physician, thus preserving continuity of care. Employers can choose from a variety of out-of-pocket levels for employees, may contribute to the cost of the plans or employees can choose to cover themselves or their entire family.
