Clarity SmartRide is a commuter benefits plan that enables participants to set aside a portion of their income on a pre-tax basis to pay for their public transportation and parking commute to work. An employee elects a monthly contribution for transit and a separate contribution for parking up to the
IRS limit. Clarity will update the payroll provider and the funds will automatically be deducted from the employees’ check saving the employee on average 30% in taxes.


WHY CLARITY SMARTRIDE?

Flexible Commute Options: Clarity SmartRide gives employees money-saving options in hundreds of cities, allowing them to reduce their outlay for public transportation, parking, and even popular rideshare platforms like UberPool and Lyft Line. Employees also have the flexibility to start, stop or change their elections on a monthly basis and unused funds carry over from month-to-month.

Clarity Benefit Card: Upon enrollment, a Clarity Benefit Card is mailed to the employee’s home. The card is programmed to work anywhere you pay for mass transit, parking, or rideshare programs. These solutions are available however and whenever you want them with 24/7 web and mobile access.

Seamless Integration: Clarity SmartRide can also integrate with benefits administration and payroll systems.

Many cities and regions have recently passed mandatory commuter benefits ordinances. Cities impacted by commuter ordinance are New Jersey, Washington Dc, New York City, Seattle WA, San Francisco Bay Area, Richmond, CA, Berkeley CA.
