George K. Reese, III
President & CEO, CLU, REBC, RHU
George is the Chief Executive Officer, member of the Board of Directors and responsible for the
overall vision, strategy and execution. He has been CEO since establishing Employee Navigator in
2008 with Walter Hill. Prior to founding Employee Navigator, George was the founder and CEO of
FlexAmerica, Inc., which was acquired by private equity firm in 2007. FlexAmerica was an independent
TPA of consumer based healthcare, transportation and COBRA benefits, servicing over 3,500 companies
employing over 1.2 million eligible employees. George's pioneering use of debit card technologies,
web based self-service portals, BPO services in India and benefits expertise enabled FlexAmerica to
grow and maintain over 97% customer satisfaction.
Prior to founding FlexAmerica, George was a partner at an employee benefit brokerage
agency for 8 years. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from St. Anselm College in
Manchester, New Hampshire. George is also a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Registered Employee
Benefit Consultant (REBC), Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and Certified Flex Consultant (CFCI).
He resides outside Washington, DC with his wife and 5 sons.
John Crowley
CTO and Chief Architect
John is head of technology and architecture as well a partner of Employee Navigator and is responsible for the
software development, architecture and security. Prior to joining Employee Navigator in 2008, John
spent 11 years as a Lead Software Engineer at AOL. His responsibilities included developing a
globally distributed HTTP proxy system, writing web server plugins for AOL's Screen Name Service
and OpenID, and he holds a patent for his work on AOL's parental control software. Prior to joining
AOL, John worked at ADP developing analytic software. He received a Bachelor of Arts in International
Relations from St. Joseph's University and resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and son.
Cherie Marks
VP of Quality Assurance
Cherie is the VP of Quality Assurance, a partner of Employee Navigator, and is responsible for ensuring
the quality and accuracy of the software. During her tenure at Employee Navigator, Cherie has been
responsible for business operations including electronic data interchanges, ACA employer reporting,
implementation, and client management. Prior to joining Employee Navigator, Cherie worked at FlexAmerica
where she managed the administrative operations of CareFirst's BlueFund portfolio. She also directed
operational initiatives for the benefits administration firm, including on and off-shore claims and check
processing. Cherie has also directed teams responsible for implementation, enrollment services, client
management and data support services. She has been in the insurance and benefits industry since 2001, with
additional experience in property & casualty insurance and insurance licensing regulation. Cherie
received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno and resides
in Hagerstown, Maryland with her husband and two daughters.
Andy Hasselwander
VP of Product
Andy is the Vice President of Product, responsible for overall product strategy, roadmap, and requirements.
He also leads data science and analytics efforts. Prior to joining Employee Navigator in 2017, Andy led the
product team at Collage Group, conceiving of, launching, and maturing three data analytics software products.
Andy started his career at MarketBridge, a B2B marketing software company, where he launched and led the
Analytics practice, pioneering big data approaches to B2B analytics.
Andy holds an MBA (with Distinction) from NYU-Stern and a BA from Colgate University, Magna Cum Laude. He
resides in Bethesda, MD with his wife, daughter, and son.
Audrey Dawson
Director of IT Security
Audrey Dawson is the Director of IT Security at Employee Navigator. In this position, she functions as the
dedicated person for protecting and monitoring the security posture of Employee Navigator. She works in concert
with the CEO and CTO to ensure all necessary security and compliance controls are in place and operating effectively.
Prior to joining Employee Navigator, Audrey received a Bachelors of Science degree from Auburn University at
Montgomery, and spent the earlier part of her career working at several government agencies assisting in
implementing various security programs. She later made a switch from government to public sector and spent
several years working as the Senior Manager of IT Compliance for a large BI software company in which she designed,
implemented, and managed the company’s compliance and security program (including SOX, SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, Safe
Harbor, and PCI DSS programs). She currently resides in Clifton, VA with her husband and three children.
